     Breaking depression represents my own experiences with isolation and depression. The shell I feel I am placed in, due to societal expectations, breaking open through my artistic expressions. While I create colorful work to surround myself with beauty and joy, my intention with this piece is for anyone who feels sadness or loneliness, to know that they are not alone in these feelings; there is hope of breaking out of the darkness.
